Since they don’t normally invite their potential contributors for a face-to-face meeting, I ended up finding out afterwards that the reason why they wanted me to meet with them after having asked me to contribute to one of its sites was because they thought I could make a good replacement for the Digital Manager who was leaving the workforce to stay home with her kiddies!!
Long story short, I applied and was accepted. And one of the reasons they gave me for having even considered me is MY DEAR BLOG!! As in they liked the look, what I had to say, the header, the buttons, everything. (And the fact that I was SLC-based was a plus, too.)
So this post isn’t just to remind y’all to never give up because your lucky (ahem, after-much-hard-work) break WILL come. (Though as many of you know, my lucky break would be getting into and graduating from grad school, but this has nevertheless been a fantabulous opportunity.)
All the compliments I’ve received from the blog have led me to realize that perhaps other bloggers out there would like more cohesive, functional, and beautiful blog designs.
My experience isn’t super duper extensive. So far, I’ve designed a handful business and blogs. Here’s a sample:
|The (old) websites of Calantha Oganics & Alter Creations. 2014 UPDATE: I’ve since redesigned both sites AND added even more to the proud roster.
But I’m a complete perfectionist who loves helping out and going above and beyond for whoever needs assistance with their site. So let me know if YOU’d like some help!!
NOW TELL ME: What have other bloggers inspired YOU to do? And what do you think of my new business? : )
