[Update: I’m sure the universe had me take a tumble on some patch of ice while I was walking Snuffy this morning as payback for having pressed the snooze button of my alarm seven(!) times. I know it!]
This weather has me all :| …

Careful! |
Yesterday, after eleven years of living in Utah, was the first time I got a “taste” of ice rain. My verdict? Hate it. Our block was one never-ending ice rink. Every sidewalk in the city is one never-ending ice rink. OUR ENTIRE CAMPUS WAS ONE. NEVER-ENDING. ICE. RINK. Well, you get the picture… In short, b/c I wanted to stay alive, I wasn’t able to walk one of our dogs out in the evening, which bummed me out a bit. (I had walked him in the AM and had, like, five mini heart attacks as I tried to not fall. We’ll see what today brings.)
Also, because of this yucky weather, one/two water pipes burst where I work yesterday morning, so everyone was kicked out to stand in the cold and ice rain. After about 20 minutes, my whole entire frozen self had started to freeze even more, so I (carefully) headed over to a nearby building to stay warm. Fortunately, we were allowed back in shortly afterwards. BUT STILL.
Anyways, as you may know, I like to see the positive in everything. So this video of fellow students (and one girl in particular) not adapting too well to the weather kind of made my day. (Or at least a couple of hours.)
ha ha ha I didn’t think so many people would find it funny! I literally was walking and like everyone else felt so much fear, but had this moment like “if I looked at this from a different perspective, this would be totally funny”
Yup, it’s very funny, so thanks for sharing, stranger :).
What weather do YOU like or despise?

I’m a relatively good “ice walker,” so my fall this morning was a definite surprise! (via) |
