[The Giveaway part of this Review is now CLOSED.]
Shopping isn’t something we (like to) do much of in our household, so we try to make everything last as much as we can because, well, why get something you don’t “need”? There are exceptions, obviously–like when I “need” some key pieces for my wardrobe or see a buy-it-now-or-forever-regret-not-having-done-so dress that I might get to wear on some occasion. (I’m like Taylor Swift in that sense; I love dresses. Too bad it’s not Summer yet!)
Anyways, something my mom and I love perhaps more than dresses is SHOES. But because we don’t need hundreds or even dozens of pairs, we keep some and then make sure to wear the heck out of our favorite ones.
Which is how my mom’s favorite strappy sandals, which she’s owned for about five years, became like this:
Now normally we’d take those shoes that need some fixing to our friendly neighborhood shoe repairer. And that’s actually what we did this time: Our friendly neighborhood shoe repairer charged her $35 but DIDN’T. DO. A. THING.
As you can see in the pics, these sandals still looked pretty beat up. (Yes, these “Before” shots were taken after they had supposedly been fixed.) WHAT A STINKIN’ RIP-OFF.
Again, that’s not dirty–just a lot of wear and tear! |
Enter Zabello’s, which, for just a tad over what our “friendly” neighborhood shoe repairer charged us, simply turned these sandals into something akin to a work of art. And let me tell you: Whatever excitement you feel I’m trying to get across here is only a fraction of how ELATED my mom felt when she got them back.
Actually, to say she was elated would be a BIG misunderstatement, because she can’t wait to use Zabello’s services again and again. Here’s why:
See?
Seriously, CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE?
FO’REAL:
So who exactly is Zabello’s?
An online shoe restoration company based in sunny California, Zabello’s specializes in breathing some much-deserved life to your “old” shoes. “Online” and “shoe restoration” don’t seem to mix well, do they? I mean, after all, HOW will they see what they need to do to your shoes?
Trust me; that was my same concern. But the Zabello’s website makes it ridiculously easy for the company to ensure it will handle your specific inquiry just right.
And WHAT do you do?
Well, placing a shoe-restoration order w/Zabello’s is super easy. (You likely WON’T need a tutorial b/c the process, as you’ll see, is super simple. So instead I’ll just show you the quality-driven packaging Zabello’s uses.)
This is what Zabello’s sends you for you to send them your shoes in |

Timeline
I know, I know. Shoe repairs take a long time, right? So will an online company take even longer? In short, NO. In my case, a few days after I placed my order, Zabello’s sent me the packaging I’d need in order to send my shoes. The company then received them within, oh about, five days, and then it sent them back within a business week at the most. That’s like, what, a week-and-a-half to two weeks? Hm now that I think about it, I don’t think they took that long BUT I’d rather be safe than sorry with you : ).
