I know, I know… If you’re a college student, the words “love” and “getting your textbooks” don’t even belong in the same sentence.
Which is why I stopped buying textbooks YEARS ago. I mean, unless they’ve been made exclusively for a prof or my school (which is SO unfair!), I won’t ever willingly choose to buy them.
Instead, I’ll RENT them. But had it not been for CampusBookRentals.com, which appeared in my life about five years ago, I’d still be purchasing textbooks like a dummy. (Because yes, if you still choose to purchase textbooks, you’re a dummy :).)
CampusBookRentals.com first approached me one serendipitous Summer day in 2008. I forget the exact details, but it was an invite somewhere asking college students to get paid (with textbook rentals!) to promote CBR and the idea of renting textbooks, which actually didn’t exist at the time! (No pressure…)
